This year marked my second time marching in Pride London, and it was undoubtedly one of the most memorable experiences of my life. The highlight was marching with the Terrence Higgins Trust—an organization that does incredible work in fighting HIV, reducing stigma, and supporting the sexual health and well-being of our community. It was a true honor to stand alongside them, leading the parade in front of the band. The energy, the pride, and the shared purpose made the moment feel so powerful—one I will cherish forever.
Every smile, every hug, and every dance along the way was a blast for me. Seeing my friends on the crowd waving and supporting me made it even more special. Their cheers and presence gave me an extra boost of joy and strength. Being part of the streets of London, surrounded by such vibrant, fearless, and loving people, filled my heart to the brim. It’s those moments—those flashes of camaraderie and celebration—that will stay with me, etched in my memory for a lifetime.
Creating my costume for this march was a labor of love and took a tremendous amount of effort. Inspired by the carnival in Brazil, I wanted to bring a piece of my culture and my soul to the streets of London’s Pride. It’s more than just a costume—it's a piece of my heart expressed through feathers, strass, and vibrant colors. Wearing it was a way to honor my roots, my heritage, and my identity, sharing a little bit of my story with everyone I encountered.
Supporting Terrence Higgins Trust means so much to me because they stand against stigma and serve as a symbol of resilience for our community. Their presence at Pride encourages us all to embrace our truths, support one another, and continue fighting for equality and acceptance.

This moment of unity and visibility is so important—more than just a celebration, Pride is a fight that continues. With rising right-wing, conservative pushes across the globe, our freedom of voice and existence are at risk. Pride reminds us that we must stay together, stand strong, and keep fighting for the rights we have fought so hard to achieve. Our community’s resilience and solidarity are what empower us to keep pushing forward in the face of adversity.
Marching in Pride and being part of this movement was a humbling and empowering experience. It reaffirmed my belief in the power of community, activism, and self-expression. And I know that the memories I’ve made this year will stay with me forever—a shining reminder of how far we’ve come and how much further we can go, together.
